Classification of FIBCs

Construction:

1. Body Construction:

   • U Shape Bags: Constructed from two pieces of fabric, creating a ‘U’ shape.
   • 4-Panel Bags: Made from four separate pieces of fabric sewn together.
   • Cross Corner FIBCs (Tubular): Feature loops sewn into the sides of the bag.
   • Form Stable Q (Baffle) Bags: Include internal baffles to maintain shape and prevent bulging.
   • Round Bags: Circular fabric used to create a cylindrical shape.
   • Sling Bags: Designed for lifting heavy loads with minimal fabric.

2. Fabric:

   • GSM Range: 120 to 250 gsm.
   • Tubular with Reinforcement: Enhances the bag’s strength and stability.

3. Coating:

   • Inside Coating: Protects contents from moisture and contamination.

2. Safe Working Load (SWL):

   • Range: 500 kg to 2000 kg.

3. Safety Factor (SF):

   • Options: 5:1, 6:1, and 8:1.

4. Lifting Options:

   • 4 Corner Loops: Standard lifting points.
   • 4 Cross Corner Loops: Loops attached at the corners for added strength.

Sift-Proof (Dust Seam):

Electrostatic FIBCs:

• Type A: No special electrostatic protection.
• Type B: Prevents sparks and brush discharges.
• Type C: Conductive, requires grounding during use.
• Type D: Dissipates static without grounding.

UN Bags

A UN Certified FIBC is a bulk bag designed and approved to transport and store hazardous materials. These bulk bags have been tested and certified as appropriate for carrying dry, flowing materials. They feature the UN logo along with a code that provides specific information about the contents and safety standards of the bulk bag.
